  1. Jump Rope for Heart: each Spring; in 2015, we raised a school record $5,400!
  2. Family Fitness Festival Participation: each Fall; GUILD is the reigning three-time champion school of the Festival!

  5. Chorus: approximately 50 members in grades 4 and 5; Director: Adam Bush
  6. Orff Ensemble for 4th and 5th graders:  Director Adam Bush
  7. SAM’S ROOM: our SUNSHINE Food room is stocked with healthy snack food and other foods for families of students who may need a helping hand. Sam's room is named after our former cafeteria manager, Mrs. Samadi Dixon, who helped Mr. Taylor build our Sunshine Food program.
  8. AGAPE Program: we supply needy children with school supplies that they – otherwise – cannot afford.
  9. ANGEL TREEeach Christmas, almost 200 students are sponsored in some way by philanthropic groups and individuals who are sought out by Mr. Taylor.
  10. School Dances: Back to School Luau, Halloween Dance, Valentines
  11. Kindergarten Graduation ceremonies
  12. 5th Grade Graduation ceremonies
  13. Reward Days for Honor Roll students and Students of the Month
  14. Rotary Bike Assemblies each month for students who exhibit exemplary character traits and behavior each day: at the Rotary Assemblies, these students win a free bike and helmet!
  15. House System: students in each grade are assigned to a House. Students in the same classroom are not necessarily in the same House with each other or in the same House as their homeroom teacher. We hope that this House System will enhance our students' feeling of belonging while inspiring them to work as a team in order to earn House Points for their House. Each House is named after a different Latin term that encompasses character traits and values that we desire in our students and ourselves!

Our 2015 TCAP results are as follows:

  1. School Growth Composite: "5" (highest score assigned by TN Department of Education)
  2. School Math Growth: "5"
  3. School Literacy and Numeracy Growth: "5"
  4. School Literacy Growth: "5"
  5. School Science Growth: "5"
  6. Top 2.8% of all TN Schools (#30 of 1,071) in Composite Growth on TCAP 2015
  7. Earned REWARD SCHOOL status by the TN Department of Education, based on Guild's performance on TCAP 2015
  8. Top Science Growth on 2015 TCAP in Sumner County
  9. Second in Overall Growth in Sumner County
  10. Double-Digit Growth Percentage gains in Grade 5 ELA, Math, and Science.
