Administration
Founded in 1958, Guild Elementary has served the Gallatin community for more than six decades. Originally built to accommodate the city’s growing population, the school has evolved alongside the shifting needs of its neighborhood.
In 1963, with the opening of Gallatin Junior High, Guild transitioned to serve grades 5–6 and introduced its beloved Gators mascot. Over the years, the school’s grade structure has seen several adjustments—from 3–6 and K–6 to K–4—before settling on today’s Pre-K through 5 configuration.
Rapid community growth in the mid-1980s led to double Kindergarten sessions—morning and afternoon—to manage overcrowding. Then in 1994, a major facility upgrade added eleven classrooms along with a new library and administrative offices to support more students.
Today, Guild Elementary is part of the Sumner County Schools district and continues to foster academic development with a student‑teacher ratio around 14:1. Enrollment stands at approximately 600 Pre‑K to 5th grade students.
